BAREX was born in 1967 as
exclusive distributor in Italy
for Jochem's (NL) products for hair care treatment. However, Barex immediately started to release its own lines and in 1974 acquired the Dutch brand. In the 80s, the laboratories move into new facilities based in the outskirts around Bologna, a focal-point of the Made-In-Italy manufactures and home of Cosmoprof. A strong market orientation enabled Barex Laboratories to share with its customers the colours, the scents, the values, the creativity and the tradition of our country of origin through ever-innovating products for the beauty and the health of the hair.
