| GRAN SHOW de MAQUILLAJE LONDRES 27/28 ENERO 2007 Simplemente conocido como “el show” en el mundo del maquillaje, el International Make-Up Artist Trade Show (IMATS) que se realiza anualmente en Inglaterra y Estados Unidos, tiene su sexta edición el 27 y 28 de enero de 2007 en el Business Design Centre de Londres. Un evento que reúne a miles de artistas del maquillaje, vendedores, fabricantes y admiradores de esta especialidad, que se aúnan para debatir, demostrar y descubrir lo mejor que la industria tiene para ofrecer. |

| New hair and beauty salon West Lothian College has opened the doors to its state-of-art hair and beauty salon in partnership with L'Oréal Professionnel and Dermalogica to offer students education and training in the latest commercial hairdressing and beauty treatments. Margo McDonald MSP and West Lothian College principal Sue Pinder opened the salon at ceremony attended by staff, students and representatives from L' Oréal. Claire Glen, head of the Image, Beauty and Fitness Sector at West Lothian College, said: "We aim to set a benchmark for salon quality, ensuring students are well-prepared for working in commercial hair and beauty salons". |

| OPEN DAY - ASK ACADEMY Schwarzkopf Professional is holding an open day at its ASK Academy in London on Monday 15 January to launch its education programme for 2007. Those attending will have a chance to see the latest courses for creative and technical work as well as those for business. All professional hairdressers are invited to attend and, as well as a glass of fizz on arrival, any courses booked on the day will be subject to a 30% discount. |

 WELLA helps with upbeat looks... at MUSIC AWARDS The stars at Urban Music Awards 2006 were looking chic and sassy, thanks to Wella Professionals, in association with High Hair and Essensuals. Stars, including Mica Paris from BBC's "What Not To Wear", one of the night's presenters, took advantage of the skills of the Essensuals team that worked backstage to ensure artists and guests were looking their best. "The Urban Music Awards was a fantastic event to be involved in" said managing director of Essensuals Christian Mascolo. "Wella Professionals and Essensuals are all about creating the latest looks and what better platform to perform this than at such a prestigious awards ceremony". |

 ON the MOVE... Technical manager for L'Oréal Professionnel Gaynor Hodge is leaving the company after 17 years to take up the newly-created post of national franchise director at Toni & Guy. "My career at L'Oréal Professionnel has taken me to amazing and diverse places" said Gaynor. "I have always admired the vibe of Toni & Guy and am looking forward to viewing the industry from an alternative angle". Gaynor will take up her new post early in the new year. |
